chotkaya_alisaНичто так не сближает народ, как общее горе. Оно же и веселит. Вчерашний брейкдаун жж, вызванный очередным улучшенным релизом, породил спонтанное народное гуляние в lj_maintenance. Такая себе пасхальная масленица на Болотной. В каментах было людно, жарко и ржачно. Мерялись кластерами, стонали и ругались. Местами буйно цвел взаимофренд. Американские юзеры преимущественно смиренно ныли о постигших их кластеры напастях, наши преимущественно требовали выжечь напалмом криворукую скверну дроновщины, для верности проткнув её осиновой гжелью.

Would be great to get an update on this. We're at over 24 hours without service now and we've only had 3 updates that seem to downplay the issue greatly. I am beyond irritated with this situation. Who'd like to join me on Dreamwidth? They actually update hourly at the least and respond to their twitter account during an outage. They also notify of routine maintanence multiple days in advance and again 30 minutes before. It's technology support 101. Even if you can't fix the problem immediately, you should give an update. Especially if the forecasted hour was incorrect. *is irate* I had to sign into a dummy account from a layout contest in order to post this comment. And, really.... Who the hell thinks that best practice is to put support on the SAME DOMAIN as the website and to REQUIRE the ability to log in to get critical info about your account. I am more and more convinced that LiveJournal is run by a bunch of idiots. Fucking fix it. And stop fucking with things that aren't broken, thereby breaking them.

It's just very irritating. I run multiple communities on LJ, some of which are fests and it would be great to have an update on this huge clusterfuck. Beyond that, the engineer in me is completely appalled by their poor IT management process.
